Beatabb was the very first band that Scott was a part of. His cousins Stella, Susan and Jane are very musical, and he was lucky enough to be allowed to join them for Saturday afternoon sessions making songs using every instrument they could get our hands on. Piano, guitar, Stylophone, Casio keyboard, maracas, tambourine, ZX Spectrum, alto and descant recorder.
Victoria Park was written and recorded by Stella on guitar in the very early eighties. Scott banged the tambourine against his thigh. They partnered on vocals.
The song is about the Victoria Park in Cardiff, very near to where the song was conceived. The accompanying film was shot in the same Victoria Park, on a cine camera, by Stella’s father. Scott put the song and the film together some years later in 1988
